Defending Our Communities: COSPU's Fight Against ICE and Family Separation
At COSPU, we are committed to protecting the dignity, rights, and safety of immigrant families in the face of aggressive immigration policies. Under the Trump administration, we have witnessed an increase in ICE raids, unjust deportations, and family separations that have terrorized our communities.
COSPU strongly opposes these inhumane policies and works tirelessly to provide resources, advocacy, and direct support to those affected.
T.P.S. TO PERMANENT RESIDENCY
Since our first day fighting for immigrants' rights, their equality, our commitment to advocating to protect family unity has become our central focus. When we learned about the struggle T.P.S. holders are currently facing, our political advocacy team came together and ready to make a difference.
Today, we proudly sponsor our local T.P.S. alliance committee, and we fight shoulder to shoulder with them for their permanent residence.
YOUTH LEADERSHIP
MENTORING
COSPU Youth Leadership Mentoring Program is designed to build and develop the self-confidence, life, and leadership skills of sons and daughters of immigrants.
Through interactive learning, discussions, presentations, panels, workshops, and advocacy field trips, we are mentoring future community leaders and social organizers. Once completing the program, they will successfully represent and uplift immigrant families inherit worth and dignity.
CULTURAL AND TRADITIONS
ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
We, Immigrants, have brought diverse and rich traditions with us. For us, our culture and celebrating with our loved ones is critical to preserve our heritage. We at COSPU understand how important it is to share our food, our music, our culture, and our traditions with others. By hosting the Hispanic Festival, our community becomes stronger, more inclusive, and more diverse. Our events and festivals help us bring everyone together for a better tomorrow.

GROUP PROGRAM
With this project, we are creating a space for young people to practice art and, at the same time, learn about their culture and that of others; the group is a representation of the diversity that our community represents beyond a place where their dresses they wave with passion, it is a space where we are training community leaders who will represent us in the future, the project includes popular education workshops where young people will gain skills such as improving their self-esteem, advocacy, fundraising, community leadership, how to improve their intrafamily communication In the coming months we will have several workshops with the young people and their fathers and mothers and the idea is to get closer and strengthen their family relationship and together expand our knowledge of their culture and what makes them who they are.
